Cameraless Film Project

The cameraless film project conveys rhythm through the repetition of several techniques used to alter the found footage. Such techniques included scratching, painting, drawing and attaching materials such as multi-coloured glitter. A number of film techniques and transitions were also used in the editing process helping create a patterned, final finish. The focus in my piece was mainly on the various types of lines shown in assorted sizes and directions. The inspiration for this came from the artist Len Lye and his work ‘Free Radicals’. This piece is an animated short film consisting of a series of white lines on black background. The unique sets of diverse lines featured in ‘Free Radicals’ encouraged the rhythm in my own finished footage.
